New Beginnings

The last year of my life has been crazy, to say the least. Graduating from college, falling in and out of love with a guy I thought I would be with forever, learning how to manage my first job (that I absolutely hated) and realizing when it's time to do something that most people wouldn't do...like move across the country, by myself, to pursuit a dream.

I have a huge passion for writing. And New York City. So when I had the opportunity to apply for an internship on Fifth Avenue working for Medical Dynamics, a boutique pharmaceutical public relations firm, I was so eager to take it! Granted, I don't know much about pharmaceuticals, but I am ready to learn; I am ready to grow; And I am ready to figure out my place in this world.

Since living in the city is so expensive, I have the "pleasure" of living at home with my Mom, Dad and little brother in Bedminster, NJ. Now this may sound normal...but nothing in my life is normal. When my dad found out he got a job in New Jersey, my mom and he got a one bedroom condo since it was only supposed to be the two of them living here. Well, then my little brother decided to go to a community college in town so he moved into the small office downstairs. Shortly after that I got the job in NYC and I ALSO moved into the SMALL office downstairs. So, yes, there are four people living in a one bedroon and one office condo. CLOSE COURTERS!

This past week is when my journey really began. I drove across the country, from Texas to New Jersey, with just myself and my dog, Happy. The drive was the first big challenge I faced on my own and is just a stepping stone for what the future holds. I am hoping that it was just foreshadowing the obstacles I am going to overcome on the path to finding myself.

Anywho, my purpose for this blog isn't to be serious or change the world. Although that sounds pretty nice! It is to laugh about all the craziness that's going on in my life and let others in on my big adventure. I am obsessed with my FLIP video camera so I plan on posting tons of fun video clips to correlate with my blogs.

So, welcome to by Blog, CrazyCait and I hope you like it!
